תקציר

Practice teaching under the guidance of a master teacher is an integral part of the teacher education program.  Students will gain confidence as they observe and practice methodologies learned and developed in various courses. Working in the field transforms the learner to a teacher and facilitator.


מטרות הקורס

The objectives of the course:

·         to understand the general scheduling, organization and workings of an elementary school from the teacher’s vantage point

·         to learn how to observe a class as a whole, teaching methodology, individual and small groups of students and to be able to use this knowledge in teaching and discrimination

·         to gain confidence in working in front of a group of students and in front of a whole class

·         to learn about and use current student course books at the elementary level

·         to become aware of what teaching is all about both in and out of the classroom

Attendance is mandatory for several days during the semester break

Attendance at the host school one full day per week throughout the second semester

 

Grade will be based on teaching and learning curve as observed by the master teacher.

Grade will be given  for teaching a full lesson by pedagogical teacher from Skmb

·      10% - evaluation from Master Teacher

·       5% - First observation tasks

·       15% observation and reflection of peer / host teacher's lesson 

·       15% Taught Lesson plan and reflection

·       5% English Day

·      ·       Assessment of full class lesson 50% - evaluation of practice teaching
