תקציר

Course Description

 

This course is aimed to improve students’ oral proficiency in English in a comfortable environment.  A variety of topics will be used as a basis for discussion and will offer a friendly platform for students to correct their mistakes, learn new expressions and idioms and gain confidence to speak in front of an audience.


מטרות הקורס

Course Objectives:

 

Students will:

·        improve and develop their ability to communicate in English in a safe and friendly environment

·        expand vocabulary and acquire confidence and fluency in spoken English

·        improve the accurate use of grammar

·        explore topics of interest and engage in dialogues, group activities and oral presentations

·        A variety of common topics to review the tenses

·        Expressions and idioms, English worldwide

·        Story telling, songs. poetry and tongue twisters to improve pronunciation, enunciation and fluency

·        Topics of interest for in-depth discussions,

       pair and group work

·        Debating – thinking on your feet

·        Pair and group activities which include observation and critiquing.

·        Writing and presentations of dialogues, interviews and short essays.

·        Peer teaching and coaching

·        Readings: articles / handouts
